KBC Bank Bulgaria and UBB united under the name United Bulgarian Bank (UBB)

On 10th of April 2023, UBB and KBC Bank Bulgaria officially united after the re-organization of KBC Bank Bulgaria EAD, through its merger into United Bulgarian Bank AD, was entered in the Commercial Register. The legal merger is the next step in the integration of the two banks after the Belgian KBC Group acquired the business of Raiffeisen Bank International in Bulgaria in the summer of 2022.

The process of the technical integration of UBB and present KBC Bank Bulgaria is underway. Until its finalization, our branch network, corporate website and the digital channels of the up-to-now KBC Bank Bulgaria will have a special symbol next to UBB logo. At this stage, clients do not need to take any actions and will continue to be serviced as until now. We will inform you about any future changes.

    Factoring is a quick procedure executed via assignment of receivables in favor of UBB where latter extend advance/finance against assigned receivables without requiring additional collateral.

    What is Factoring?

    Factoring is a financial services consist of two or more elements as follows:

    • Advance/finance of assigned trade receivables with deferred payment, without additional collateral.
    • Administration and collection of trade receivables.
    • Credit risk protection from non-payment and insolvency of the debtors.

    Factoring is applicable to both domestic and foreign clients /payers/.

    Factoring solutions of UBB

    Factoring with recourse

    • A solution to obtain liquidity immediately after invoicing.
    • You assign the process of collection of receivables to the Bank.
    • The payment behaviour of your payers is improved.

    Factoring without recourse

    • A solution to obtain liquidity immediately after issuing the invoice invoicing.
    • The process of receivables administration/collection is assigned to the Bank.
    • The risk of non-payment is covered by the Factor /Bank.


    Application procedure

    Preliminary examination

    The bank gives you the opportunity within 24 hours to receive an offer with indicative parameters of the factoring limit you want.

    The conditions for applying for such a limit are:

    • The company must have revenues from sales exceeding BGN 2 million each of the last 2 years.
    • The factoring limit should be less than BGN 400 000 including a minimum of 3 (three) payers.

    In case you meet the above requirements and wish to receive an indicative offer for Factoring, you can send to email address - exact names of your company, EIC, as well as a completed file with the Table of Payers.

    Within 1 working day of your submission of the information, an employee of the UBB Factoring Department will contact you to discuss the details necessary to prepare an indicative offer, where the Bank reserves the right to make a final decision after a thorough review of the supplier and the payers of the transaction.

    When concluding a Factoring contract, it is necessary to fill out a Factoring Application Request, which you can send to the specified coordinates in the Contacts section.

    Application criteria

    Claims must meet certain following conditions:

    • Must arise from actual services performed or goods delivered.
    • To be transferable, unencumbered, non-maturity and not subject to counter set-off.

    Companies that could use the Factoring service are as follows:

    • Manufacturing and trading companies that sell to their customers under terms of up to 180 days deferred payment.
    • Suppliers making regular deliveries, for which they issue invoices in accordance with current Bulgarian legislation and receive payment from their customers via bank transfer.
    • Companies that have no legal relationship with their customers/payers.
