    Factoring is a quick procedure that is expressed in transferring your receivables to the benefit of KBC Bank and the Bank finances those deferred payments without requiring additional collateral.

    What is Factoring?

    Factoring is a package of financial services including two or more of the following elements:

    • Financing of trade receivables with deferred payment, without additional collateral.
    • Administration and collection of trade receivables.
    • Credit risk protection.

    Factoring is applicable to both domestic and foreign clients /payers/.

    Factoring solutions of KBC Bank

    Factoring with recourse

    • A solution to obtain liquidity immediately after issuing the invoice.
    • You assign the process of collection of receivables to the Bank.
    • The payment behaviour of your payers is improved.

    Factoring without recourse

    • You transfer your receivables from a given company and the risk of non-payment due to bankruptcy and permanent insolvency is covered by an insurer.
    • With such transfer you can use all advantages listed under Factoring with recourse section.
    • The use of advance payment is a possibility and not an obligation for the supplier.
    • You get a possibility to research new Bulgarian and foreign payers.


    Application procedure

    Preliminary examination

    KBC Bank gives you an opportunity to receive an offer within 24 hours with indicative parameters for approval of the desired factoring limit.

    The conditions for applying for such a limit are:

    • The company that applies must have sales income of over BGN 2 million in each of the last 2 years.
    • The factoring limit must be at least BGN 100,000 with a maximum of 5 payers.

    In case you meet the above requirements and wish to receive an indicative offer for Factoring you can send an e-mail to address containing the exact name of your company, the uniform ID code of the company and the completed file Table of Payers.

    Within 1 business day of submitting your information, the Factoring Department of KBC Bank will send you an opinion or an indicative offer and the Bank reserves the right to a final decision after a thorough review of the supplier and the payers under the transaction.

    If you receive a positive opinion and wish to conclude a Factoring Agreement, you need to fill in a Factoring Application Form, which you have to send to the address of KBC Bank, Factoring Department.

    Application criteria

    The receivables must meet specific conditions:

    • They must result from actual services or delivered goods.
    • They must be transferable, without encumbrances, they must not have matured and they must not be subject to offsetting.
    • The retained amount /requested factoring limit/ is at least BGN 100,000.

    Companies that may benefit from the Factoring services:

    • Manufacturing and trading companies that sell to their customers under conditions of deferred payment varying between 20 and 240 days.
    • Suppliers making regular supplies for which they issue invoices in accordance with current Bulgarian legislation and receive payments from their customers by bank transfer.
    • Companies that have no economic connections to their clients.
