Open APIs will shape the future of banking

The EU regulation PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2) which requires banks to enable API access to payment account information is considered as a huge opportunity and a starting point of our Open API initiative. Open APIs allow us to meet our customers’ increasing demands for easy customer journeys across industries, thereby discovering new partnerships with Third Party Providers (TPPs) such as FinTechs, startups or external developers.

New developer portal for even more convenient access to our Open APIs!

Welcome to the new developer portal - RBI Marketplace, which comes with an improved user interface, even greater security and access to our test and production interfaces in one place!

Registering on the RBI Marketplace is fast and easy. All that is required to test our interfaces is an existing email address to which we can send you an activation link. Thanks to this, creating an account is reduced to a few minutes.

After successful registration, you are only a few steps away from testing of the connection with our APIs

• Create a test application
• Subscribe to the test APIs for "PSD2 - Sandbox environment" for Bulgaria
• Download the certificate from the portal
• Follow the steps for the selected APIs

Access to Production APIs

After successful testing, you need to create an organization. In order to improve your security and customer security, you need to activate two-factor authentication in the RBI Marketplace using a selected authenticator application.

Once you've completed these steps and started using the service, we'll verify your TPP certificate on the go.

Important announcement

Current developer portals and APIs will not be available after July 31st, 2022. Registration in the RBI Group API Marketplace is required, as well as connection to the new interfaces provided through it.
